During his missionary travel in the North of China, he was surprised to meet a squaw whom he had formerly known in Canada. In answer to his inquiries, she stated that she had been taken captive, and had journeyed from camp BLACK HILLS AND BIG HORN 89 to camp with her different captors until she had come to that part of Chinese Tartary where she met him.
