The drawing and. recitation rooms and shops of the Department of Mechanical Engineering are in the Engineering Building. They are of ample size and well lighted, and are arranged to be heated either by the exhaust steam from the engine or by live steam. On the first floor are the steam laboratory, machine shop, forge shop, wood-turn- ing and carpenter shop, office, and library. On the second floor are the recitation-room, two drawing-rooms, and a wood-finishing room.
