We plan to use ASSET to do empirical studies of the cost and effectiveness of the data flow criteria. The effectiveness of -16- the various criteria can be investigated by using ASSET on programs with known errors and attempting to categorize which errors each criterion is likely to detect.
5. Conclusions and Future Work We have described the design and implementation of a tool based on the theory developed in [Rap80, Rap82].
