There shall also be allowed an exemp- tion from the amount of the net income of estates of deceased persons during the period of administration or settlement, and of trust or other estates the income of which is not distrib- uted annually or regularly under the provisions of paragraph (b), section two, the sum of $3, 000, including such deductions as are allowed under section five.
