My consolations rather come ' to me in gusts of feeling than are the quiet ' growth of my mind. ' Mr. Barlow's verse is not much above the level of the metrical contributions to a small provincial paper, and it is not singular that he does not seem to be aware that Captain Wordsworth had a relative who was the author of the Lyrical Ballads.
