Graphic...ally, "Montana" is enticing, with nearly each of its 128 pages reflecting the talents of photographer Lamb. An avid backpacker and mountaineer, he captures the country from many angles— from an aerial photo of Fort Peck Dam to an eye-level view of a rusty wagon wheel. He has done an excellent job of incorporating nature's special lighting effects into his work — exquisite shots of moonlight casting millions of sparkles across Flathead Lake . . . silky sunsets . . . backlit wheat fields.
