The chairman announced that the said persons had been duly elected North Carolina Railroad members of the Finance Committee on the part of the State for the en- suing j'ear.
Colonel Cameron then moved that Mr. C. D. Benbow and Mr. L. M.
Michaux be elected proxy committee for the annual meeting one year hence. This motion prevailed, and the Chairman so announced.

Gentlemen : — As required by the By-laws of your Company, I herewith submit the reports of the Secretary and Treasurer, Finance Committee and Expert From the information thus furnished you will observe that the financial condition and the physical condition have both continued to im- prove under your wise management in past years and which policy we are seeking to pursue.
