In the upper end of town it seemed as though nearly all of the outhouses of the neigh- borhood had a penchant for eddying in or near the main street, and that ever jovial and irrepressible Tom Dod- son, having marooned a keg of liquor, he established a free bar in one of them, and it was said that nearly every- body in the neighborhood got drunk.
