MEDICAID PERMANENT RECORDS Records Retention In addition to the various magnetic tape files which the SRS Data Processing Bureau personnel create, they also use tapes loaned from Dikewood which contain specific Medicaid paid claims information. We needed to use these tapes as part of our audit work. We located most of these computer tapes in a broom closet, converted to a coat room and supply closet in a downtown office building occupied by SRS. The tapes were stacked on a shelf in random order.
