S. Paul's ruling principle is the principle of subordination. This principle rules out as not permissible the placing of women in the Church in the position of instructors to the men. They may not preach to the general congregation because such action would contradict the providential constitution of Nature which Christianity does not change. The order of the human creation is not reversed by the order of grace.
