" (Page 15. ) " Here we observe the Norman or Eomanesque style of the twelfth century, the Early English or first Gothic style of the thirteenth century, and the Decorated style of the fourteenth century. The place on the north series of arches, where the Korman ends and the Gothic begins, deserves notice. The clustered Early English pillars of the sixth arch of the nave spring out of the massive Norman pier.
