What reading level is The Boy Problem: a Study in Social Pedagogy book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

The Endeavor movement soon found a practical difficulty in the fact that its young people, some of whom were quite young when they entered, remained in the society year after year, and that just as soon as their average age began to increase it became almost impossible to gather in younger members. To meet this need, in 1884 Junior societies and a few years later Interme- diate societies began to be established, formed in com- plete imitation of the societies of older young people. Thus natural...ly, and yet we may say somewhat thoughtlessly, an institution was introduced into our churches with the same name and methods as one al- ready existing, but with no query as to whether means that were adaptable to persons from 16 to 60 would be perfectly natural to boys and girls from 10 to 16.
An interesting test as to whether these Junior soci- eties do actually suit young children may be taken from the results of Dr. Sheldon's study, already re- ferred to, of the societies, clubs and gangs which children spontaneously organize.
