The balance of the coastal and inland conditions is not always shewn with such diagrammatic simplicity, for in some years the coastal and continental rainfalls are both above the average, owing no doubt to an increase in THE WEATHER CYCLE 6l the amount of rain raised from the sea by evaporation.
