Building sites have been acquired, temporary Avooden barracks have been erected, and the construction of cottages in the colonies of Petach-Tikvah, Chederah, Ness-Ziona, Bir-Jacob and other places has begim. The amount named will not ))rove even remotely adequate to solve the housing problem. A cottage that is to be fairly durable, and built in accordance with hygienic requirements — with a garden plot attached — costs between £50 and £60.
