The privilege of freedom from arrest seems to have been considerably modified in 1705. It was then enacted that members should be " in their persons, servants, and estates, both real and personal, free, exempted, and privileged from all arrest, attachments, executions, and all other process whatsoever (save only for treason, felony or breach of the peace) during his or their attendance upon the General Assembly, by the space of ten days before the beginning, and ten days after the conclusion of every session of the Assembly.
