They hated each others faces, and we had masquerades of great expense and shew ; these tired too, and we wanted to be trans- ported to another country. A Venetian masquerade was thought of; it was called a jubilee ; and a boat was surnamed a gondola, and all people were transported ; a jubilee at Ranelagh, and a gondola on the canal !
