Remarks. In these three cases, which are detailed at great length by Broussais, he confesses himself ignorant as to the true nature of the disease, till the autopsy revealed it to him. He had a suspicion of the nature of the last case, and, acting upon this, abstained from the use of stimulating expectorant remedies, which had aggravated the condition of the two first patients.
