After using "beef essence" and other forms of concen- trated nourishment of our own preparation, for a few days, we gave her your " Meat Juice," and it was soon evident that it was more easily assimilated, and that it nourished the patient better than the ...food she had before taken.
She steadily impra\:ed, notwithstanding the serious draw- backs of Erysipelas of the whole head and scrofulous swellings of the neck and throat, and is now convales- cent. We attempted to use your " Meat Juice" in two other cases. In one it was rejected from mere caprice, and in the other the taste of it was not liked. You per- ceive that our trial of your preparation has been too limi- ted to be made the basis of a confident conclusion touch- ing its merits, but my impression in respect to its value as a concentrated and readily assimilateu nourishment, are certainly highly favorable.
