Jenkins, of the Bank of America; and M. P. Bryson, of the Phoenix Bank, were appointed an advisory committee to devise means of relief. A special meeting of the directors was immediately called, at which resolutions were passed, expressing their appreciation of his char- acter, and their sorrow at his death.
