APPEALS TO THE HOUSE OF LORDS. 289 Within one week after the presentation of the appeal, Security, security must be given for the costs of it. In the event of this latter mode of security being adopted, two clear days' previous notice of the names proposed must be given to the solicitor or agent of the respondent. The recognizance and bond must be re- turned into the Parliament Office, duly executed, within one week from the date of their having been issued to the solicitor or agent of the appellant. On default by the appellant in complying with the above requirements, the appeal stands dismissed (f).
