(Oroagna) AN AMUSING ADVENTURE over a reputed miracle-working Madonna. I had a quaint experience on my way to visit S. SPIRITO, a grand old XHIth century Church, redesigned by Brunelleschi, burnt in 1480, and famed for its simple and elegant architecture, its grace- ful Corinthian columns of Fiesole stone, its 38 semi-circular chapels with as many altars, and its glorious frescoes and paintings by old masters.
