In the same manner the two lateral flaps were disposed of. The little strip of mucous membrane on the anterior wall was utilized by stitching the lateral flaps to its edges. The operation was com- pleted by sewing together the edges of the mucous membrane and the stumps of the nymphse and at the places where the three flaps came into apposition, with fine interrupted sutures of catgut.
