He addressed large assembUes of children on two or three occasions, and re-embarked in May, but meeting a heavy gale of wind, which occasioned damage to the ship, he returned to Philadelphia to await a more favourable opportunity for a voyage to India.
He soon re-commenced his course of lectures, which were attended by many hundreds of children ; and he continued them until he finally embarked for India, where he arrived in August, 1812.
