Saturday, Feb. 2btli. — I took a car to Pemnsylvania avenue to call on Mrs. Carpenter at the National Ho- tel.
Sunday, Feb. 2QtJi. — Hoping to find the Reformed Episcopal church, I took a Fourteenth street car to Fifteenth street, where I got in a herdic in which I rode up Sixteenth street.
