August 2'^rd, Sunday. In the afternoon at church. Heard Mr. Stowell preach a charity sermon for our new school at Northenden. He preached very well.
August 26th. Went to the meeting for arranging the proceedings of the public meeting for the formation of the " Northern Central British India Society.
