Captain Snodgrass. They were both, obviously, as the inve...stiga- tion proved, fully qualified to go on the mission and fly, so their qualifications were good. As far as crew pairing, they were not a normal crew. In other words, they did not fly routinely together. But it is not uncommon within a squadron, and particularly an F- 14 squadron, that you fly with someone other than your normal radar intercept officer or pilot. So it is not something that was overtly out of the ordinary. It was just the fact that they both did not normally fly together.
