In 1532, John Latchford, another chaplain, was bound over to keep the peace. In 1543, Richard Gerard, clerk, rector of GrappenhaU, was struck and wounded with a dagger by ' Sir Thomas Holcroft (the spoiler of monasteries), who probably knew that Gerard disapproved of his proceedings.
