The older Banks of Geneva, Ontario, and Monroe, having united upon a o-cntieman who had never worn the collar, the Regency were in that in- stance defeated. Nothing but a supreme regard to the claims of party, could liaveinduced men, with any pretensions to respectability, to put their names to such a tissue of misrepresentations as their lat^t annual report contains.
