Yet, on account of fufpicions, which were entertained of his in- trigues, on that occafion, with members of the Houfe of Commons, he was committed, on the 1 6th of June, twelve days after the ad- journment of parliament, to the keeping of (r) Lord Southampton returned from Scotland, on the 28th of June 1618.
