It follows, then, that there is nothing in the universe but impressions and ideas ; all possible perceptions being by our author comprehended in those two classes.
This philosophy admits of UiO other existence whatsoever, not even of a jpercipient being, to perceive these perceptions. So that we are now arrived at the height of human wisdom^ at that intellectual eminence, from whence there is a full prospect of all that we can rea- sonably believe to exist, and of all that can possibly become the object of our knowledge.
