In this world, as transcendental Logic has shown, every phenomenon is determined in relation to other phenomena. If, then, reason demands a com-, plete and final determination of objects in the phe- j nomenal world, it demands something which, in this ' region of knowledge at least, can never be attained. For here every answer gives birth to a new question, and no conclusive answer can ever be given. " By the very fact that we are just now discussing the possibility of Metaphysic, it is proved that reason wants to unite every judgment that is made with 72 TEE CONTENTS OF every other, and so to form a completed system of the universe.
