This report was accepted, and the mode of its introduction referred to the same Com mittee; but it does not appear to have been intro duced into any of the schools.
A petition was presented to the Board, November 3..., from the inhabitants of East Boston, requesting the establishment of a Primary School in that sec tion of the city. This petition was referred to the Standing Committee to make inquiry, and if found expedient, to establish a school on the same plan as that on the Mill Dam.
A petition was also presented from the teachers of the schools, under the care of the Primary Board, setting forth the duties and responsibilities devolv ing upon them, and requesting that their com pensation might be increased.
