The total number of books loaned during the year was 651. Of these 225 were non-fiction, in- cluding history, biography, poetry, and the various sciences, 150 were children's books, and the balance adult fiction.
A large map of the New England States, with an additional map of the p...aved roads of the United States, were purchased for the library. These contain a great deal of valuable information, and we feel will prove very useful.
A State Aid Fund has been established to assisi libraries that have only a small sum of money to spend annually. From this Fund a gift of 25 books was sent to us, by the Public Library Commission.
These include two volumes of j)oetry, two of science, five auto-biographies, and sixteen of fiction. We deep- ly appreciate this splendid gift.
