What reading level is Annual Report for the Year volume 1951 book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

In the curriculum of this course I had to teach Marxism, and its present-day varieties, namely Leninism and Stalinism, also. According to the plan of instruction, my group of students was changed every term, so that in the 5 years I met 10 different groups of sophomores. In practically every group one or two students usually questioned and contra- dicted hoth my own eye-witness account, and the accounts found in current rele- vant literature, of the purges, "corrective lahor-camps, " stakhanovi...sm, and other practices of the Communist regimes in the iron-curtain countries.
This was to be expected, it was part of the plan that discussion should de- velop in class. It was more surprising, however, that as often as not these contradictors quoted Professor Struik as their source and authority. As far as I knew. Professor Struik was employed to teach mathematics, not political sicence or any interpretation of current events. Nevertheless, in the much ahused name of "academic freedom, " I accepted the challenge and did my best to elucidate the problems in the minds of my students, which often were in- fluenced in a contrary direction.
