This effort took several months and a great deal of hard work, but the effort was well received and no-cost and low-cost re- pairs took place immediately, resulting in a reduction of potential safety hazards. We applaud the proactive efforts of our Inspection Sub-Committee who honorably dedicated the time to complete this formidable task. Great appreciation also goes to the Department Management team who cooperated with this impo...rtant effort In addition, the JLMC successfully completed a new Safety Manual and Introduced informational Safety Brochures. Our Committee would also like to thank Julie Kamal, former Reaeation Director and JLMC Seaetary for her dedicated service to the Committee. Julie retired earlier this year and her assistance and participation was much appreciated. Reducing workers compensation claims and aggressively working to eliminate avoidable accidents will continue to be the #1 priority of the JLMC in 2008.
