Mrs. Mildred L. Coombs and Mrs. Henry N. Andrews conducted a silver tea at the Library one afternoon last summer. Contributions at this tea were used for the pur- chase of books.
The Librarian entertained the first grade c...hildren of Central School one afternoon with a story hour and re- freshments.
Miss Marjorie Stroud of the State Library Staff was at the Library one afternoon in May to meet the school children. She gave an interesting talk about the benefits and pleasures they would receive in making use of the Li- brary. She had on display a collection of books to illus- trate the wide range of reading material which is available to them.
We are grateful to Eleanor Morse for her continued ex- cellent work as our Librarian, and to all others who by work, gifts or interest have made 1954 a good year.
