Respectfully submitted, Beverly A. Abbott, RN 74 EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORT 1988 was a disastrous year for me personally. Early in June I lost my lovely wife Evelyn to cancer. This turned my world upside down. Lucky for me there were no emergencies at t...hat time. On that note, we had a quiet year. I did attend several training meetings in Concord. The major emphasis was on hazardous materials, spills and transportation accidents.
Francestown now has a hazardous material committee and we wiU be completing our plan in case of an incident within town. This plan will become part of our emergency plan, which has been in existence for several years. We will then be in full compliance with the Federal law. I am going to propose to the Board of Selectmen a town ordinance to protect our town in case of a Haz Met incident.
