It is my opinion that the followers of Vishnu are far in the majority, as Buddha was one incarnation of Vishnu, and the Buddhists are numerous, not only in India, but also in China and Japan. I am told that every person is named after some god or god- dess, and that every child is named after its grandfather or grandmother.
During my stay in the cities of Southern India, I noticed many a home in city and country almost sur- Colombo to Calcutta.
