"The townsite, as recently surveyed, embraces an extent of one andone-half square miles. It is regularly laid out, being intersected bystreets from 60 to 80 feet in width. The squares are divided into lotsof from 16 1/2 varas (the Spanish yard of 33 1/3 inches) front and 50deep, to 100 varas square.
