What is it to me that men say she reigneth, The glorious Summer, everywhere; 88 Tied to the Town.
This Summer, who rules the town, attaineth But in name to be like my mistress fair. My love had flowers in her golden tresses, And I heard her voice where the brooks descend ; And she stepp'd o'er the green hill-wildernesses, And stopp'd in the vales, where the faint ways end.
