What reading level is Charles Xii And the Collapse of the Swedish Empire, 1682-1719 book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

Robinson, the English Minister at Stockholm, found a decent excuse for not delivering this note to his Government, so the dispute died a natural death.
Charles's dictatorial conduct, too, towards the free city of Danzig, which had harboured some of Au- gustus's refugees, very nearly led to a rupture with both the Maritime Powers who had extensive com- mercial connections there. Fortunately the sudden appearance of two regiments of Swedish dragoons at Danzigwerder induced the civic magistrates,
...at the last moment, to submit to the King of Sweden's terms. Another attempt of the Emperor through his ambassador, Zinzendorf, to bring about an accommodation between Charles and Augustus, on the most humiliating terms for the latter, so long as he might be permitted to retain his kingdom, also came to nothing. Nor would Charles, in his over- weening self-confidence, even agree to an alliance with Prussia, though it was an alliance which all the Swedish diplomatists, and Stanislaus himself, eagerly desired.
