SEC. 120. Contracts City Attorney Draw Triplicates. All contracts shall be drawn under the supervision of the City Attorney, and shall have attached thereto detailed specifications of the work to be done, which shall be referred to and made part of the contract; the manner in which it shall be executed, and the quality of the supplies and the material to be used. Every contract let by the Commissioner of Public Works shall be signed by the Mayor and other contracting party, and coun- tersigned ...by the Controller. All contracts shall be executed in triplicate, one of which with the specifications and drawings, if any, of the work to be done, and materials to be furnished, shall be filed with the Commissioner of Public Works ; one, with said specifications and drawings, shall be filed with the Con- troller, and the third, with said specifications and drawings, shall be delivered to the contractor.
SEC. 121. Bonds Amount i Sureties Justification. At the same time with the execution of said contract, the contract- or shall execute a bond to the State of Washington, with two or more sureties, or with a surety company as surety, condition- ed that such contractor shall faithfully perform all of the pro- visions of said contract, and holding said City of Tacoma harm- less from all loss or damage caused to any person or property by reason of any carelessness or negligence in the making of said improvement, and pay all laborers, mechanics, sub-contractors and material men, and all persons who shall supply such con- tractor or sub-contractor with provisions and supplies for the carrying on of such work, all just debts, dues and demands in- curred in the performance of such work; which bond shall be approved by the Controller and filed in his office.
