Be IT ENACTED by the Senate and General Assenihhj of ^Ae object. State of New Jersey^ That the design and object of the said corporation is hereby declared to be the promotion of religion and the advancement of learning, by the instruction of youth in religious truth, as well as in the learned languages, and in the liberal arts and sciences, and that the said corporation shall always be an institution for the purposes specified in this act.
