The great reformer and innovator, Wang An-shih (1021-1086 A.D.), who lived dur- ing the Sung dynasty, was even accused by his enemies of having 720 ir. T. Szvingle published perverted commentaries on ancient history in order more easily to gain credence for his doctrines.
Besides the Dynastic Histories, Chinese bibliographers recog- nize fourteen other main classes and many subclasses of his- torical works.
