Ask those who have oft witnessed her relimous conversation ; who have seen at times her deep so- licitude for the out-pouring of the Spirit, the revival of God's work, and t...he conversion of souls, and especially the youth of the flock. Ask those who have known the pleasure she felt in a preached gospel, and her. earnest desire that all others might be profited thereby. Ask that praying circle who have sustained a regular meeting for prayer under her roof for more than a score of years ; the re- sponse from all will be^ that her's was a consistent piety.
2. Our departed friend was also an example of, ardent and devoted piety.
There is a phase of Christian profession, which seems satisfied with a correct and irreproachable exterior, while it wants the zeal that prompts to active efforts, and the holy unction that indicates a soul in close and constant communion with God».
