In Common Council, March 28tli; 1869.
Ordered, That the Salaries of the several City Officers, for the year beginning on the first day of April, One thou- sand eight hundred and fifty-nine, shall be as herein named, to b...e paid quarterly. This order to remain in force dur- ing the municipal year of One thousand eight hundred and fifty-nine, and until otherwise ordered.
Section 1. The salary of His Honor the Mayor shall 1)0 at the rate of Tivelve hundred dollars per annum.
Sect. 2. The salary of the City Clerk shall be at the rate of Tivelve hundred dollars per annum. And the fees received by him in the discharge of the duties of his office, shall be paid into the City Treasury, for the use of the City; and the City Clerk shall, in the months of January and July, make out and render to the City Council a state- ment of the amount of moneys received by him as feeS; specifying from what sources said fees are received.
