It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to notify the Chairman of any Special Com- mittee, in writing, of the appointment of such Committee, and to designate to him the members of the City Council appointed thereon j and to notify, in writing, the Chairman of any Special or Standing Committee of any subject that may be referred to said Committee ; also to notify, in writing, any Officer of the City of any action of the City Council that may require the attention of such Officer.
Sect. 3. The sal...ary of the Clerk of the Common Council shall be at the rate of Two hundred dollars per annum.
Sect. 4. The salary of the Treasurer and Collector of Taxes shall be at the rate of Eighteen hundred dollars per annum.
Sect. 5. The salary of the City Messenger shall be at the rate of Six hundred dollars per annum. In full for all ser- vices required by Ordinance, except in Police Court and Ward Rooms.
Sect. 6. The salary of the Assessors shall be at the rate of Four hundred dollars each per annum. Said salary to be in full for all services required for the City and State val- uations.
