Of Governor Eyre, Nov. 4). It was in consequence of these disagreements the distribution of the rein- forcements was postponed for two weeks after their arrival. And, there- fore, martial law was kept up for those ten weeks; whereas, otherwise, it might have been dispensed with earlier.
