Xxxii. 15, "But Jeshurun waxed fat and kicked ; thou didst wax fat, thou didst gi'ow thick, thou art covered;" where many quite erroneously think of an external condition, a state of prosperity granted by God, — a view which leaves the sudden address and the threefold repetition altogether 270 THE BOOK OF PSALMS.
