First of its colors are Eyes that I knew Were piercing me through and through With light from afar; And there are the words That tremble and start Like tropical birds In the flower of my heart; And then the clear full tone Of your deep voice alone Reading me poetry, Leaving an impress rare As that in color where Art has burned beauty.
